National Day Celebration 2024 – Intergenerational Games Day
This year’s National Day was truly special. As part of our Start Small Dream Big project, the K1 and K2 children of Little Olive Tree (Yishun) poured their hearts into planning games that would bring joy to the seniors from St. Luke’s Eldercare, our cherished community partner. Their dedication and thoughtfulness shone through as they took on various roles—some as buddies to the elders, offering gentle guidance and companionship, while others stepped up as game masters, pati

One session will be held every Thursday from 9-10am, with the K1s and K2s taking turns every alternate week. They were thrilled to launch the first two sessions at the end of May! The children were a little shy at the beginning and took some warming up to interact with the seniors. H

Children from LOT Hougang bond with seniors over music
Children from LOT Hougang often have partnerships with the seniors from St Luke's Eldercare as they have a centre situated just around the corner from their preschool. In May, they started a monthly session of Do Re Mi, with the children and seniors! Do Re Mi Music and Movement Programme 哆来咪音乐小课堂 was designed to engage children in their natural element in order to cultivate a love for musical expression as well as the Chinese Language. Sounds of sweet singing and bubbly laughter filled the air at One Punggol earlier today at the Creation C.A.R.E 2024 Art Showcase Opening Ceremony. Children at Marsiling fundraise for Children's Cancer Society
During the last week of December, the children at LOT Marsiling created craftwork to be sold to fundraise for donations. As we all know, Christmas is a time for sharing love, joy, and to give. This project was birthed during that season because the team wanted the children to learn the importance of thinking for others and modelling kindness to help them grow into productive and loving members of this society. Thus, the teachers chose three organisations that work with childr

Blessing the community amidst the Lunar New Year festivities!
The Lunar New Year is always an exciting festival for everyone, especially for children! It means time with family, new year goodies and a rest from everyone’s usual routines at school or work. Much of the excitement is also fuelled by children dressing up in their New Year outfits! Most of us look forward to New Years mostly because of what it signifies – a brand new year that is accompanied by new hopes, new opportunities and a fresh start. A do-over, for those of us who ar

Loving our migrant workers this National Day!
National Day is around the corner and we had celebrated Singapore’s 57th birthday with our children! Our theme for the National Day activities this year is “Loving Our Country”. Our children were reminded to thank God for the wonderful Singapore that he has placed us in. Other ways that we can love our country would be to do good and love our neighbours! Not just our next door neighbours, but anyone and everyone who is around us. This year, we paid homage to the migrant worke

Project Good Sam 2021 Wrap-up
Our inaugural Project Good Sam in 2021 has happily come to an end! All our 11 Centres participated in this community service project held from March to September 2021. A total of 630 children contributed 17,000 hours of their time to this good cause. They also rallied 380 parent and alumni volunteers to support this endeavour. Collectively, they prepared 400 gift packs for the elderly and raised $10,000 for Dorcas Home Care Service. This was no mean feat especially with the C
