At the start of January 2026, Little Olive Tree (Thomson) opened its doors for the very first time. As our newest centre, LOT Thomson brings the Little Olive Tree family to 18 centres islandwide—a milestone we hold with gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility.

This was the beginning of a shared journey, one that we are honored to walk with every child and every family who steps through our doors.

We believe that every child is a precious and unique masterpiece, lovingly created by God. Each one carries their own personality, gifts, and pace of growing. Our mission is simple and sacred: to create a space where every child is known, valued, and celebrated for who they are.

Discovering Beauty in the Everyday

Rooted firmly in God’s truth, we believe that our days are measured not only by lessons completed, but by moments of wonder discovered.

To mark the first days of school, LOT Thomson held a carnival-style back-to-school party. It is an intentional way to welcome children and parents into the LOT family.

Church volunteers from Singapore Thomson Baptist Church, together with our staff team, poured in time, energy, and heart to create a meaningful experience. It was one of those moments that reminded us that when a community shows up with love, children feel it.

The atmosphere that day was simple but heartfelt—smiles, laughter, and a calm that felt steady rather than chaotic.

We made a thoughtful call to start the year with a “bang”: not a loud bang, but a warm one.

Children arrived with anticipation.

Parents didn’t have to stand at the sidelines—they were invited into the fun.

And that matters.

For many children, the first day of school can bring big feelings.

A welcoming environment helps children step into a new place without fear, and it supports families as they navigate the transition together. When parents and children can experience the space side-by-side, the school becomes familiar faster—and separation anxiety softens.

More than games or activities, the day quietly introduced what we hope will always be the heart of LOT:

·      Every child matters

·      Every parent matters

·      Every feeling matters

·      Every staff member matters

To parents, our message is simple: we are intentional about loving and nurturing your children. We don’t take lightly the trust you place in us.

To children, we want to be a safe space—one where it’s okay to cry when you’re overwhelmed, and where we celebrate every brave step forward, every small success, every new friendship.

To our staff, we recognise the quiet miracles that happen in classrooms every day. When we see children transform from quiet to expressive, from uncertainty to courage. We’re reminded that this work is deeply meaningful.

And yet, we also know this good work is not ours alone.

As a faith-based preschool ministry, we believe that what we do can only truly come to fruition when we abide and abound in the Lord. This is His ministry as much as it is ours.

So we commit ourselves again—not just to excellence in education, but to faithfulness in the way we serve. We commit to holding hands and holding hearts as we walk this parenting journey together, raising children in God’s image and likeness, while honouring the individuality He has uniquely given each child.

So that when they step into the world, they can do so with courage and gusto because Christ has overcome the world.

In just this first week, we have already had many meaningful conversations and many helping hands. We are deeply thankful for the all volunteers who stepped forward to serve, and journey with us. Each day brings us one step closer to becoming not just a good school, but a place that truly feels like home for our children. We learn from yesterday, and we grow better today together.

Walking Forward Together

We are embarking on a journey. One rooted in Truth, growing in Beauty, and bearing Goodness.

We cannot wait to see the many chapters that will unfold as our children grow, learn, laugh, and flourish in our preschools.

May God be glorified through the works of our hands. We commit LOT Thomson to Him, with gratitude for what has begun—and faith for what is to come.
