Children from Little Olive Tree (Bethesda Depot Walk) recently embarked on a meaningful learning journey to Gardens by the Bay, exploring the “Let’s Celebrate Spring” exhibition at the Flower Dome.

Surrounded by vibrant blooms, the children discovered the flowers commonly associated with Chinese New Year and the special meanings they carry. Through guided conversations and careful observation, they also reflected on how to care for plants and deepening their appreciation for nature and their responsibility towards the environment.

Ayansh - "I like this flower because it is baby pink and yellow in colour."

Beyond cultural knowledge, the experience became personal. As they explored, the children shared stories of their own family celebrations, learning that traditions may look different in every home. Yet all are meaningful.

Jia En - "I have drank chrysanthemum tea before! Now I see it here too!"

At Little Olive Tree, we create experiences like these because we believe children learn best when they encounter truth in the real world, see beauty up close, and practice goodness through reflection and care. Learning should not be confined to four walls. It should connect children to culture, community, and creation.

If you would like your child to experience learning that is thoughtful, joyful, and deeply rooted in real world discovery, we warmly invite you to connect with us and find out more about our programs.
