Little Olive Tree was glad to participate in Healthy Family Day at Marina Barrage, an event organised by The Father School to celebrate the value of family and affirm that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, one husband and one wife.
The day was filled with energy and cheer, with families enjoying activity booths, stage performances, bumper cars, a bouncing castle, and a river cruise. The weather was wonderful, adding to the festive atmosphere at the Barrage.
Little Olive Tree contributed in several ways throughout the event. Our schools set up two activity stalls, which quickly became some of the most popular booths of the day, drawing long queues of children and families. Managed by the Chinese Curriculum Specialists and Senior Teachers, the stalls introduced children to Chinese cultural art and games. They also showcased the various ways our children have been involved in the community.

Little Olive Tree Preschools also presented three items on stage: children’s storytelling, a children’s choir, and a yangqin solo performance.
The storytelling segment featured “家里的小太阳” by Wang Muze and “我最喜欢的超级英雄” by Yao Ziyuan. Both children did a wonderful job bringing their stories about home to the audience, and it was especially encouraging to see them overcome their stage fright. This was followed by a children’s choir presentation of “我爱我的家”, performed by 20 children, and a yangqin solo by Teacher Deng Lijuan.
Another highlight was a medley of familiar tunes presented by Teacher Yanqing, which delighted the audience.
CNLS, one of our partner schools, also presented a children’s dance performance. Children from the childcare and student care sections brought a lively presentation of 《当我凝视》, sharing a message of love and joy.

Healthy Family Day was a meaningful occasion for families and schools to come together in celebration. For Little Olive Tree, it was also a valuable opportunity to contribute to the community through children’s performances, cultural activities, and shared experiences.
