LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE CAREER FAIR

Light is a wonderful thing. It does not exist for itself — it shines so that others may see.

On 18 October 2025, the Let Your Light Shine Career Fair at Little Olive Tree (Rochor) was just that — a gathering of light. Jointly organised by the Presbyterian Church in Singapore, Singapore Life Church, and Presbyterian Preschool Services, the event brought together close to 30 participants in a warm, faith-filled morning of sharing, laughter, and inspiration.

From the opening worship, our hearts were turned to the One who is the true Light. We shine because Jesus first shone into our lives — His love awakens us, His grace sustains us, and His calling gives us purpose.

The setting at LOT Rochor was perfect. Every classroom, every child’s artwork, and every photograph of daily life whispered the same story — that teaching is not just a job, but a ministry of light. Participants could feel the heartbeat of what we do: nurturing wonder, shaping character, and sowing truth, beauty, and goodness in tender hearts.

Our educators, principals, and curriculum team shared their journeys with honest joy and humility. Ms Alicia Yah, Ms Jasmyn Ang, and Ms Lou Eye Nee spoke of the light that teaching brings — sometimes gentle, sometimes fierce, but always full of meaning. And as Mr James Zhou unfolded the pathways of the early childhood profession, it was clear that this is more than a career — it is a calling to bring hope where it is most needed.

We shine because the children give us a reason to shine. Their curiosity, laughter, and trust remind us daily why this work matters.

Indeed, Let Your Light Shine is not just a theme — it is our testimony.

Jesus has shone into our lives, and now, through every story, every smile, and every classroom, we shine so that others may see His light too.

让光照亮——分享会回顾

我们能发光，是因为耶稣先照亮了我们。

祂的光唤醒我们的心，使工作充满意义，也赐下勇气去服事。

10月18日，小小橄榄树（梧槽）举办了“让光照亮”分享会。

由新加坡长老大会、生命堂和长老会学前教育中心联合举办，近30位参与者齐聚一堂，在温馨与呼召的氛围中相遇。

从教师与园长们真挚的分享中，大家看见了小小橄榄树的生命故事——教育不只是工作，更是敬拜。梧槽园那充满孩子作品与笑声的教室，让人再次明白我们为何而教、为何而爱。

我们发光，因为孩子给了我们发光的理由。

他们的笑声与好奇，映照着上帝的光。

我们将继续发光，为祂的荣耀，也为孩子的喜乐。
