Concluding Good Start Run 2025
As the Good Start Run 2025 draws to a close, we are filled with deep gratitude for every step taken, every dollar given, and every heart moved by this shared journey of love, faith, and purpose.
Over the past two and a half months, we’ve seen children across our 20 Little Olive Tree preschools rise with enthusiasm, grit, and compassion. Together, they ran 60km over 60 days in support of this meaningful cause. Through every stride, they learned the values of grit, perseverance, endurance, and community spirit — traits that will serve them well as they grow into compassionate individuals and active citizens. They ran not just for themselves, but for their friends — especially those in the Educational Support Programme (ESP), who need a little more help to thrive in their learning journey.

From tiny feet running laps in their respective outdoor spaces, to creating fundraisers with joy and unwavering support, our children reminded us that even the smallest efforts, when driven by big hearts, can move mountains.

To our ever-supportive parents, thank you for cheering them on — for standing behind your children and believing in the power of early compassion and inclusion. Your unwavering encouragement gave them the confidence to run with meaning and to give with purpose.
To our donors and supporters, thank you for sowing into the lives of our children. The funds raised through the Good Start Run will go directly into supporting children in our ESP — giving them equal opportunities to learn, grow, and shine. Your contributions are acts of hope, creating classrooms where there is a place for every child.

A special and heartfelt thanks goes to Uncle Stephen Lim Nghee Huat, whose incredible completion of the Brazil135 Ultramarathon inspired so many to give. Running 217km across challenging terrain, Uncle Nghee Huat ran with a mission: to rally a nation around a cause close to his heart — to ensure no child is left behind. His strength, humility, and faith reminded us all of Hebrews 12:1 — “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
His footsteps have sparked a wave of generosity that will bless our children for years to come.

As we celebrate the end of the run, we also celebrate the beginning of something greater — a movement of kindness, inclusion, and collective purpose.
Because when we run together, every child has a chance to start strong, stay the course, and finish well.
Thank you for making this Good Start Run a success. Let’s keep running the race — with hearts full and hands open.
With deepest gratitude,
The Presbyterian Preschool Services Team
