Mountains and Valleys - A Leadership Moment
A Reflection by Bethanie Wong The Mountains and Valleys leadership moments session was a truly inspiring experience, guiding us through the different dimensions of leadership—adoration, appreciation, affirmation, aspiration, activation and articulation. We began by reflecting on our individual strengths and recognising that leadership is not a solitary pursuit but one nurtured by faith and community. The story of Moses served as a powerful reminder of the importance of encour

Raising humans, not robots
Written by Tiffany Yeh In a world obsessed with preparing children for a future dominated by artificial intelligence, it’s tempting to believe that early exposure to technology is essential for success. But what if I told you that your preschooler’s best preparation for tomorrow doesn’t involve coding apps or screen-based learning at all? I’ve seen how the push to make kids “AI-ready” can overshadow what really matters: nurturing creativity, curiosity, and human connection. H

A Decade of Dedication: Regina Andal's Story
Written by Regina Andal Looking back, it's hard to believe that a whole decade has passed since I first stepped into Singapore and began my journey with Presbyterian Preschool Services (PPS). Time has flown by so quickly, it feels like just yesterday when I was starting out, navigating a new culture and learning the ropes of early childhood education in a different environment. A Journey of Growth and Learning When I arrived from the Philippines, I faced the challenge of adap

Reflections on 2024: From the Executive Director's Desk
"Behold, I am doing a new thing: now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." - Isaiah 43:19 This year has been nothing short of a wilderness journey - a season of trials that tested us in ways we could never have imagined! It began with a devastating fire that destroyed a significant portion of our preschool in Ang Mo Kio, leaving us shaken and uncertain. As if that wasn't enough, several key staff members faced

Naomi's Rainbow
In October this year, the Little Olive Tree family experienced a loss.
