In Gladness and Gratitude
On 1 September 2022, the entire staff body of Presbyterian Preschool Services (PPS) and Presbyterian Community Services (PCS) gathered at Happy Joy Restaurant for the Staff Appreciation Dinner. Themed “In Gladness and Gratitude”, it was an occasion for us to thank the staff for the work that they do faithfully on the day to day. "Those who can; do. Those who can't; teach." This phrase first appeared in George Bernard Shaw's stage play, Man and Superman, in 1905. It means that those who are not good enough to do the 'real' work end up teaching. However, at PPS, we have seen our teachers work faithfully and tirelessly to care for the younglings under their care. With more children spending at least 10 hours in a childcare/infant care centre each day, our preschool teachers do a lot more than teach. It

Teachers’ Day Dedication Service 2022!
Bright and early on a Saturday morning on 20 August 22, preschool professionals and Sunday school teachers converged at the Faith Methodist Church for a time of thanksgiving, prayer and reflections. It was also a time where PPS staff comprising principals, teachers and support staff, shared blessings and got to know their counterparts in the other Christian preschools. Loving our migrant workers this National Day!
National Day is around the corner and we had celebrated Singapore’s 57th birthday with our children! Our theme for the National Day activities this year is “Loving Our Country”. Our children were reminded to thank God for the wonderful Singapore that he has placed us in. Other ways that we can love our country would be to do good and love our neighbours! Finally gathering together as One PPS again!
Spirits soared high as over 200 staff from various centres and HQ arrived for PPS Learning Day: The Art of Learning in unique and quirky outfits with vibrant pops of colour. Some were particularly early as they were excited to catch up with those they had not seen in a while. After all, this was the very first time in over two years since the pandemic hit that the entire PPS family was gathering in one place! Some staff expressed their positive feelings about meeting each
